John Marvin McEwen, born November 19, 1954 passed away on November 8, 2017. A memorial service will be held to honor his life at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary. 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale AZ. John was born on November 19, 1954 to Peter and Leona McEwen and raised in Edinburgh, North Dakota. He attended North Dakota State University and received a BA in 1977. He worked at El Chorro Lodge and Restaurant at Flemmings Prime Steak and Wine Bar. Special love to Prestons Steak House and family. He always enjoyed working in the Restaurant Bar Industry, and had the gift of gab or he knew no strangers. John truly enjoyed his golf games with friends. He had a wonderful laugh, loved crosswords and History. John was preceded in death by his parents Peter Marvin and Leona Mae McEwen, Grandparents Oscar and Myrtle Johnson, and Lorne and Josephine McEwen.
