Ray S. Strait

From December 31, 1942 to September 12, 2018 God has blessed us with the life of Ray Strait. Born in Des Moines, Iowa he was the fourth of five children. After serving in the Coast Guard Ray met Ruth, the love of his life. They married in Omaha and made their home in Iowa for many years until moving to Arizona in the mid 80's. Together they raised four children, Loren of Iowa, Gayla, Brian and Paul all of Arizona. Others cherished are Kristy, Carrie, LaDonna, Ron, Mary and Christina, each holding a place in the family's and Ray's heart. There were also grandchildren: David who passed at the age of two, Loren, Kortney, Tanner and Caitlyn. Ray managed several scaffold companies and owned one himself. He later worked for the State of Arizona until his retirement where he spent his time traveling with, and eventually tending and caring for, Ruth who passed in 2011. Ray loved his family. He is known for his wit and humor, his strong work ethic, abiding faith, intelligence, kindness, and his deep longing for Ruth through these seven years without her.
