Genevieve Victoria Kusmierczyk, 95, died December 6, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born January 2, 1923 in Gary, IN. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, preceded in death by loving husband of 56 years, Frank. Genevieve is survived by three sons, Dr. Robert (Kay) Kurtis of Clearwater, FL, Mike (Carol) Kurtis of Phoenix, AZ and Mark (Elizabeth) Kusmierczyk of Chandler, AZ; two daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Barnes of Fallbrook, CA and Diane (James) Casey of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Kimberly, Melissa, Jackie, Justin, Scott, Adam, Lindsay, Courtney, Tori, Jesica, Jennifer, Denece, Davonna, Derek, and 32 great-grandchildren; sister Lillian Karr of DeMotte, IN. Preceded in death by brothers William Dolatowski, Edmund Dolatowski, and John Dolatowski, grandchildren Michelle and Anthony. Mrs. Kusmierczyk was a former co-owner of Grant Street Monuments in Gary, IN. Genevieve had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit right up until a brief illness took her from us.
