Phyllis Charles Ogden

PHYLLIS CHARLES OGDEN was born in New Mexico April 21, 1926 and passed away in Phoenix February 6, 2020. Phyllis first moved to Phoenix in 1944, attended the University of Arizona where she joined Gamma Phi Beta sorority and graduated in 1948. She later became a 4th grade teacher at Longview and Grandview schools in Phoenix in 1953-1956. After attending graduate school in Minnesota, she married Donald Ogden in 1959. They had three kids (Chip, Sarah and Laura) and enjoyed living in Minnesota, Massachusetts before returning to Phoenix in 1974. She enjoyed seeing her many U of A and Gamma Phi Beta friends here, being closer to the Charles family, was an avid PTA participant in Scottsdale Public schools, became active in antiques appraisals and estate sales, and enjoyed her time with A.R.C.S. She and Don moved back to New Mexico for 17 years before returning to Phoenix for their latter years. She is survived by her three children, grandchildren Ellie, Walker and Grace, many nephews, nieces and cousins. We will miss her great sense of humor and will remember her always.[more]
