luded time in Iran for a high school friend's wedding. In 1979, her desire for other cultures and education took her to China for an extended trip. For the Millennium she cruised on a converted Russian ice breaker to spend New Year's 1999 in Antarctica. In recent years she enjoyed exploring many places in Asia and the Arab world. Kay loved theater, sporting events and performances both while traveling and here at home. For many years she enjoyed the Michigan State Fair, going to Michigan football games and countless Tigers' games, including the World Series in 1968 and 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Inez (Jones) and James Michael Mullaney, and her brother, James Michael Mullaney, M.D. She is survived by six nieces and nephews, Patricia, Michael, Kathleen, Joseph, John, and Mary, who each have vivid memories of time with Aunt Kay. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 16, 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church,157 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48234.
