Carol Jean (Wallace) Hackney, 65, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on March 5th, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was surrounded by her family, whom she loved and served with all her heart. She shared 44 years of marriage with her beloved husband Ed. Carol was born May 15, 1954 to Bob and Nellie Wallace, growing up in the small town of Madison, IN. She married Ed Hackney on July 12, 1975 and graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Political Science in 1977. Besides her husband Ed, she is survived by her sister, Robyn (Chris) Brown, her three children, Jordan (Tasha) Hackney, Drew (Shauna) Hackney, Kendall (Udeme) Udofia, three grandchildren, Hope, Josiah, and Gemma, one nephew, Chad Kiel and her uncle, Charles (Susan) Horton. Carol exemplified Philippians 2:3 which says "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." She was a servant to all and lived as a true witness to Jesus Christ. She was led to Christ by her Father and Mother, leaving a legacy of joy as a member of Scottsdale Bible Church and attending the Community Connections Class. o, California, and the four years she lived in Scottsdale. Hospitality was her mission field, serving Christ through serving others. Carol faithfully prayed for others and invested in the lives of those around her; her Godly advice and loving example will be missed by all who knew her. Carol was a loving wife, sister, mother, and Nana, who proudly exercised her license to spoil her grandchildren. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was outside.
