Joseph Duane Harwood, 63, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020. Service: 12 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Joseph was born on December 10, 1956 in Cherry Point, North Carolina to David Bruce Harwood and Mary "Barbara" Bode Barnett. He proudly served in the United States Army, where he was a crew member of a Patton tank. Joseph was a Medical Equipment Technician for University Hospital in San Antonio. He was a seasoned mechanic and loved to ride and work on his motorcycle. Survivors: Daughter, Constance "Konnie" Pierce and husband Michael; sons, Tony Harwood and wife Rachel, and James Harwood and wife Maria; grandchildren, Trevor Harwood, Isabella Pierce, Charlotte Pierce, and Jessica Harwood; mother, Mary "Barbara" Bode Barnett; brothers, Thomas Harwood, Guy Harwood, and Ken Harwood; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
