Elmer Thomas Roming

Elmer Thomas Roming of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Holy Redeemer Hospital Inpatient Hospice. He was 90 years old. Elmer was born August 31, 1929, son of the late Joseph Roming and the late Bertha Roming (nee - Loffelhardt). He is the father of Elise Roming, Matthew Roming and his wife Greta, the late Karen Roming and the late Amy Roming; grandfather of Erik and Lauren Roming and six other grandchildren; great-grandfather of three; he is the brother of the late Joseph Roming. He was also the loving companion of 35 years to Norma Smith. Elmer was born and raised in Philadelphia, a graduate of Olney High school. After graduation, Elmer enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after his years of service. He owned Roming's TV Sales and Service with his brother which they opened in 1953. In his later years, he enjoyed keeping active with bowling and golf and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
