Eleanor Estelle Mishler age 90 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Saturday morning August 292009.0 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque Iowa.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday September 22009.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa with Dr. Rev Jeff Dadisman of the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday September 12009.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the Pence Cemetery rural Baldwin Iowa.
Eleanor Estelle Graves was born on December 15 1918 in Clinton County Iowa to Floyd Graves and Amelia (Wiese) Graves. She attended school in Baldwin and graduated from the 8th grade.
In her younger years she had worked at the Iowa Soldiers Home (now the Iowa Veteran’s Home) in Marshalltown Iowa under Dr. F.J. Swift Sr. meeting her future husband Bernie F. Mishler there. She and Bernie were married on May 29 1941 in Marshalltown Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 23 2008.

Eleanor was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa the Maquoketa American Legion Post #75 Ladies Auxiliary Maquoketa VFW Post #3633 Ladies Auxiliary and the National and Iowa 2nd Indian Head Division Ladies Auxiliaries. She was a former member of the Pythian Sisters #138.
Eleanor is survived by a daughter Linda (Bob) Bailey of Maquoketa IA; 2 grandchildren Brian (Lisa) Manderscheid of Maquoketa IA and Paula (Chris) Brewer of Montgomery IL; a great-granddaughter Lainey Estelle Brewer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband 4 brothers Robert Harold Melvin and Harry (Tommy) and 5 sisters Nellie Feuss Beulah Feuss Viola Gnade Jessie Flemming and Dorothy Dalchow.
