John Michael Bagley

78, of Phoenix, Arizona, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2017. John was the youngest of three sons born to Daniel and Catherine Bagley in Chicago, IL. He was predeceased by his brothers Daniel and William, and by his loving wife of 47 years, Jean. Survivors include his wife, Michele Stapley; his seven children, John (Libby), Tom (Nikki), Kevin, Brian (Leslie), Michelle, Mary Scanlon (Bill), and Linda Wallace (Bob); his six grandchildren, Jim, Sean, Alyssa, Jessica, Matthew, and Ryan; and stepdaughters, Suzanne Zetz (Glenn), Julie Trainor (Larry), and Jacqueline Schlosser (Roy). John graduated from De Paul University and Illinois Institute of Technology, receiving an MBA degree. He retired from GTE/AG Communications after 37 years as an electrical engineer. He loved hiking, camping, fishing, reading, square dancing, history, and traveling; and was an active member of St. Paul's parish and St. Vincent de Paul. Visitation services will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St. Phoenix 85020. The vigil will begin at 7:30 pm.
