Patti Lynn Feuerbacher

Patti Lynn Feuerbacher Gaines, a resident of Anthem, Arizona, passed away from complications of chemotherapy for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer on December 10, 2017. She was born and raised in her beloved Montana and studied Business Psychology at Montana State University, and the University of Houston. In 1963, she married Terry Feuerbacher with whom she had two children, Michael and Kristen. That marriage ended and several years later Patti met and married Eddie Gaines, M.D. Together they opened a medical practice in Las Cruces, NM, which she managed while Eddie, other doctors, and the staff treated patients in a professional and caring environment. She was an avid reader, traveler, golfer and jewelry maker. In fact, she and Eddie traveled and played golf all over the world. Patti sang and played piano but, above all, she cherished anything to do with her grandchildren. She attended their games and events with enthusiasm and relished the time she spent with them. passion for basketball, and seeing Asia reach each new milestone as she grew up. After surviving lung cancer and many other complications, she believed her mission was to give others hope - talking with those in early and advanced stages of cancer. Her message to others was to keep fighting and praying for grace to handle whatever the future holds. She was an inspiration to those who knew her, having gone through many difficult personal and physical challenges with grace, encouragement and hope for those around her. She truly lived and loved her wonderful life and was at peace. She felt so strongly about loving her life that during her last few days she said she would not change a thing. Patti is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Eddie Gaines, three children, Michael Feuerbacher (Suzanne), Kristen Feuerbacher Howard (P.J.), Nicholas Gaines (Barivule), grandchildren Jordan and Jessica Feuerbacher, Colby and Lucas Howard and Asia Gaines, three sisters, Karen Ayotte (Dan), Janet Stuffmann (Maury), Loretta Kiser (Keith) a brother, Doug Fahlgren and 6 nieces.
