aking, pool gatherings, slumber parties, card games, beautiful holidays and weddings. Her last Christmas was spent enjoying cinnamon rolls, laughter and smiles through the eyes of her grandchildren. Gloria Jo was not just a mother, but continued her role as a teacher with her grandchildren, a best friend to her niece Jane, a mentor to her children and a bottomless source of love and counsel to anyone she saw in need. Gloria loved to attend the theatre, playing bridge, and enjoyed hiking in Sedona and Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard, and her son, John Arthur, as well as her siblings Mary, John, Henrietta, and Bob. She is survived by her daughters Melanie Fay Baca (Jim), and Martha Fay Moneypenny (Walter) and grandchildren Christopher Richard Baca, Samantha Fay Baca, Mary Eliza Moneypenny and Adam Paul Moneypenny. Services will be held at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th Street Phoenix, AZ on Friday, January 5th at 4pm with a reception following.
