John Melvin Mcnaughton

Dr. John M. McNaughton, 87, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2018, with his family by his side in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born September 30, 1930, in Eureka, CA to Joseph and Elaine McNaughton, nee Stickles. John attended Humboldt State University, where he earned a B.S. in Zoology, Washington State, and Marquette Dental School. He was president of his dental fraternity and kept in touch with friends dating back 80 years. He practiced general dentistry for a total of 41 years, beginning in Eureka, CA, before moving his practice to Santa Rosa, CA in 1971. He moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in 2011. John was a beloved, and endeared family man who adored his four children. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Todd and Jill (CA), Kyle (WA), Joseph and Stephanie and Marcie and Chris (Walsh) McNaughton (AZ), as well as seven granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oakmont Golf Course on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 12:00pm-3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to donate to your favorite charitable organization.
