Michael Anthony Garner, 26, died on January 20, 2019 in his home in Anthem, Arizona that he shared with his wife and 2 roommates. He was born on June 8, 1992 in his hometown, Phoenix, Arizona. He is survived and loved by his mother, Sherry, who raised him and his little sister Stephanie after his dad died in the line of duty in 1993. Also survived and loved by his wife Ashley, and son Alexander. Michael served in the United States Army for 4 years as an infantryman. He served his country well and wanted to proceed with life outside of the military and joined the Reserves for military police, while going to school full time for cyber security. Michael was a hard-working man that everyone loved, and he had such a wonderful way about him. Michael was loved by many who describe Michael as a kind and compassionate person, good soldier and a hard worker, and well-liked by those who knew the kind of man he was. He will forever be remembered by his mom, his sister, his wife and son for his dedication to his family that drove him to do better than before. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday February 15, 2019 at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix 85020. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix 85024.
