George I. Relyea Sr. 82, of Sawkill Road died Tuesday March 10, 2020 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born February 21, 1938 in Port Ewen, he was the son of the late George H. and Mildred (Markle) Relyea.

George was employed by the Kingston City School System as a custodian. He was a musician playing the guitar, mandolin and yodeling in the country band Seniors Get Together. George was a fan of professional wrestling, watching the WWE pay per view on Sunday evenings and the New York Mets. He also enjoyed cooking.

Surviving is his wife of fifty one years, Ellen R. (Herdman) Relyea; his children, Rose Kassler and her husband Kevin, Martha Horvers and her husband Joseph, George I. Relyea Jr. and his fiancée Michelle Crawford; his sisters, Peggy Romeo, Shirley Relyea and Marie Binian; his grandchildren, Ariana Relyea, Lillyan Relyea, Ellen Hughes, Kristal Hoffman, Kevin A. Kassler and Travis Horvers; his great grandchildren, Isabella Relyea, Keegan Hughes and Kaelyn Hughes.
