Kenneth L. McAlister

Kenneth L. McAlister, 84, of Elmwood, passed away at 10:05 a.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Farmington Country Manor. He was born February 22, 1936, in Trivoli, to Everett and Vera (Brandt) McAlister. He married Florence Wolschlag on August 30, 1953, in Elmwood. She survives. Also surviving are five children, David (Elaine) McAlister of Warrenton, MO, Connie (Clifford "Van") Taylor of Elmwood, IL, Kathy (Scott) Polhemus of El Paso, IL, Brian (Kathy) McAlister of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Karen (the late Jimmy) Burrows of Central City, IA; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen and two on-the-way great-grandchildren. Kenneth worked at Hiram Walkers Distillery for 19 years. He was also a self-employed painter. A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
