OLIVE G. OLIVIER

Olive G. Olivier, 89, lifelong resident, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Norlite Nursing Center where she had been a resident since January. She was born August 14, 1924 to John and Eva Peterson. She graduated from Graveraet High School in 1942 and went to work as a bookkeeper at the Vogue store in Marquette. She was the longest standing member of the Grace United Method Church. She married Paul E. Olivier on November 15, 1947 and celebrated nearly 67 years of happiness together. She is survived by her loving husband Paul, five children; David of Munising, Christine (Thomas) Hakes of Florence, WI., Daniel (Allyson) of Port Washington, WI., Jane (Mark) Schiller of Fort Collins, CO., and Kathleen (Robert Cowell) of Big Bay; six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Timothy, sister Bertha Holmquist, brothers Russell, Everett, Reynold, Wilburt and Karl Peterson. Friends may call at Grace United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 5th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Christopher Hintz officiating.
