MARTIN (MARTY) THOMAS OLIVIER

Martin Thomas "Marty" Olivier, 64, of Marquette, died Tuesday morning at his home in the loving presence of his family and under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice. He had been ill for a very short period of time. Marty was born on June 4, 1950 in Marquette, a son of the late Thomas W. and Jean (Flanigan) Olivier and was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School. Marty worked as a meat cutter and manager in several grocery stores in Marquette. He retired from Econo Foods in April of 2012. Before and after retirement, Marty's favorite pastime was going to Kleckner's camp on Diffen Road with his buddies. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoying all basketball teams and was an avid Packer fan. Preceding him in death besides his parents was a granddaughter, Lacey Dale Olivier. A private celebration of Marty's life will take place at a later date.
