JESSICA CLAIRE DRUMMOND

Jessica Claire Drummond, 22, and her unborn child, were tragically taken from us on November 26, 2015. She was born in Marquette on September 13, 1993 to Don and Tammy (Turner) Drummond and graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 2011. Jessica attended Northern Michigan University, receiving an Associates' Degree in Criminal Justice in 2015. She truly enjoyed working with her extended family at Beef-A-Roo from 2009 until present. She also enjoyed her part-time bartending job at her family's business, the Third Base Bar. She looked forward to the crazy conversations and bantering with her regular crew. Jessica was looking forward to starting a new career at U.P. Health System-Marquette, as a unit clerk beginning on November 30. She knew who she was and wasn't afraid to be herself. She really did dance like no one was watching. She had such a love of animals that as a child, she wanted to be an animal cop as seen on the show, Animal Planet, and arrest people who mistreated their pets. , Stephanie and Troy Vetort; her half brother and sister-in-law, Toby and Amy Thomas; her two nephews, Draco Vetort and Waylon Thomas and her stepsister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Kyle Darcy and her canine companion, Kahlua. In addition, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Turner; aunts, Terri Turner and Tracy (Raf) Bennett; uncles, Trent Turner and Travis (Heather) Turner; her paternal grandmother, Ellen Drummond; her aunt, Judy Drummond; her uncles, Jack (Cathy) Drummond, Dickie (Carol) Drummond, David (Denise) Drummond and several cousins. Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Donald Clare Drummond; her paternal grandfather, Ed Drummond; her uncle, Todd Turner and very best friend and sidekick, Brodie Dagenais. A celebration of Jessica's life will take place on Tuesday, December 1st at 2 p.m. in the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home, 526 N. Third St., Marquette, with the Rev. Leon Jarvis officiating. Jessica's family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
