ORVILLE T. MITCHELL

Orville Mitchell, 38, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2017 in Greenwood, IN. Orville was born on August 4, 1978. He was the son of Michael and Julie Mitchell. Orville had a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and was self-employed. He joined the Navy, serving from 1996 until November 20, 2000. He was honorably discharged on January 7, 2005. Orville married Tamara Shimp, whom he met in college in Washington State. Together they had three children, Deacon (12), Zoey (10) and Ramsey (7). They lived in Greenwood where Tamara grew up. Orville loved to cook for his friends and family. He was a very loving father, husband, son, brother and friend. He had a passion for poetry and would often showcase his ability to wordsmith with family and friends. Orville’s family will greet relatives and friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gwinn on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m with Rev.
