RALPH JOHN VOET

On Sunday morning, October 21, 2018, the angels came and carried Ralph John Voet into the arms of his loving savior. Ralph was born on March 27, 1934 in Marquette, a son of the late Edward and Ada (Williams) and Margaret O. Voet and was a lifelong Marquette resident as well as a U.S. Army veteran. Ralph worked as a congineer for the LS&I Railroad for many years, retiring after having served 40 years with them. He was a very proud former member of Msgr. Nolan B. McKevitt Council # 689, Knights of Columbus and Bishop Baraga the Snowshoe Priest Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, which will provide an honor guard for his service. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, the former Margaret Peterson, whom he married on September 7, 1957 at St. Peter Cathedral; five children, Janice (Dan) Davis of Palmer, Sherry (Edward) Haack of Escanaba, Keith Voet of Gwinn, Kevin (Malinda) Voet of Kingsford, and Richard Voet of Marquette; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith (Peter) Kalohn of Lower Michigan and Betty Murray of Marquette; one brother, Ed (Phyllis) Voet of Marquette; sister-in-law, Frances Voet of Kansas; also several nieces and nephews. ...[more]

The Voet family will greet relatives and friends on Friday beginning at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home where a vigil service and rosary will be recited by Rev.
