Obituary of Michael L. DeRock Michael L. DeRock, passed peacefully on April 12, 2020 at age 74, predeceased by his parents, Charles and Betty DeRock, and brothers, Gary, John, and Terry DeRock. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Moira DeRock, siblings David (Gail) DeRock and Michele (John) Dybalski, stepsons Kevin (Kathleen) and Peter O'Neill, his beloved daughter Susan DeRock, and his granddaughters Maryn, Brynn DeRock, and Katie, Kira, Kayla O'Neill, as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Michael was born in Oramel, NY on February 22, 1946, and after proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army, he worked and resided in Rochester, NY, where he selflessly devoted his life to serving and loving his family well. He was an avid lover of nature and animals, and found his peace and place in this world, through walks in the woods, sitting under the stars, or enjoying the outdoors with his family and pets. He also found great joy in traveling with his beloved wife, playing golf on the greens of Ireland, to the mountains of Colorado.
