Laura Mistretta

Laura Mistretta, 91, of Connelly, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 16, 2020. Laura was born in New York City on January 24, 1929. She was married to Joseph Mistretta, Sr. for over 75 years and was mother to six children, Rose, Annette, Joseph, Charles, Martha and Noelle. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and loved her family unconditionally. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. Laura enjoyed family gatherings, camping, cooking, reading and most of all talking with family and friends. She was an intent listener who enjoyed hearing what people had to say no matter what the conversation was. Laura is survived by her husband Joseph. They were wed on February 24, 1945 in New York. She is also survived by children; Rose, Annette, Joseph, Martha and Noelle. She had nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to www.peoplesplaceuc.org to an organization that helps people in need.
