William A. Ratcliffe

William Allan "Bill" Ratcliffe, Age 76 of Ambler, died on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He died of an pneumonia after fighting 18 years of cancer. Born in Islip, NY, he was the son of the late Griffith John and Leone Collinge Ratcliffe. Bill was a Regional Sales Manager for The Penwalt Corporation acquired by Ecolab for many years. Bill was also a Financial Advisor with Wealth Builder Advisor for several years working with his beloved wife, Mary. He was a member of the Old York Road Country Club for many years. He was a graduate of Penn Charter School Class of 1962. He remained very active with Penn Charter and would reunite with his classmates at reunions. Bill attended the University of Michigan receiving his Bachelor's Degree and then going on to receive his Masters from Temple University. Bill was an avid golfer, singer, and a Michigan Wolverine's Football Fan. He also enjoyed watching his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He is the cherished grandfather of the late Michael Bloss who was from OH; and is survived by Global Operations Sergeant, US Army, Jon Bloss and his wife, Taylor from Colorado Springs, CO; Tina Bloss and her partner, Tyler Willey of Mount Sterling, OH; Stephen Smith of Groveport, OH; Makayla Smith, of Groveport, OH; George Smith of Atlanta, GA, and Alexis Smith of OH. Bill is also a great-grandfather to Aubree, Leo, Adalynn, Levi, Braxton, and Ava. Bill is survived by his Sister Nancy Dubrow of Moorestown, NJ and was pre deceased by his half brothers Griffith John Ratcliffe, III and Somers Henry Ratcliffe.
