LeRoy Schnathorst Jr. 67 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
LeRoy William Schnathorst Jr. was born on February 1, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa; he was the son of LeRoy William and Barbara Ferne (Willis) Schnathorst Sr. He attended school in the Ankeny School District graduating with the class of 1971. On March 16, 1973 LeRoy was united in marriage to Susan Hyde at the Fort Des Moines Open Bible Church in Des Moines. Leroy served his Country in the Army National Guard. They had lived and worked in Des Moines his entire working career. He worked at Colonial Bakery for 27 years, until they closed and at Papa Johns for 10 years, Bridgestone Firestone for 10 years. He enjoyed golfing, any HAWKEYE sports, watching the cooking shows and always time with his family.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00p.m. at the Brooks South Town Funeral Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no more than 10 people will be allowed inside the building at any given time, so your patience and understanding will be appreciated as we navigate traffic. A private family service will follow on Saturday Private interment services at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
