Ira Barrett

Ira Barrett, age 97, of Cumming, GA passed away to his heavenly home on June3, 2018. He was born on December 31,1920, to Lizzie OKelly and Robert Barrett. His brothers, Marvin, Ford, and Bill; and his sisters, Dessie, Eva, and Jessie preceded him in death. He loved to be a good neighborand he loved to help people. He was loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Imogen Bennett, daughter; Catherine Bearden of Athens; and son, Edgar of Cumming. He leaves three grandchildren, Leisha and Todd Bearden, and Brett Barrett; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 11:30 a.m. at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Sorrells officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements. [more]
