ooden chests, wall-paneling, etc. He was very skilled in working with his hands to create so many meaningful keepsakes around his familys home. Russ had many organizations that he was affiliated with throughout his life, most notably was his involvement at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Hacienda Heights where he served on many boards. He was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 620, including co-founder of the BSA Venture Crew 620. Additionally, he was a Little League coach in Hacienda Heights. He was a man who was always in service to others, and whose attitude was always positive. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000, he fought the disease long, hard, and valiantly. He won 14 more years of life, which he made sure he spent to his liking. Though increasingly crippled by weakening bones, he enjoyed a long Boy Scout hike, traveling, fishing, gardening, and woodworking projects. He was able to see his children graduate from high school, then from college; walked each daughter down the aisle on her wedding day; and reveled in meeting his two grandchildren. Russ is survived by his wife, Rebecca Noyes; his children, Cynthia (Bernard) Salazar, Mathew Noyes, and Amanda (Eduardo) Hernandez; his grandchildren Maryanne and Matheu Salazar; and his sisters, Patricia (Edwin) Girod and Julie (Robert) Yocum.
