Michael G. Shafer, 64, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away April 15, 2020. Michael, son of Glenn and Donna Shafer, was born on June 24, 1955 in Garden City, Kansas. Mike lived his early years in Ankeny, Iowa before attending and graduating from The University of Iowa. After graduating, he moved to Florida, where he had lived for the past 40 years.

Michael is survived by his mother, sister and brother-in-law, two nephews and their six children. He is rejoined in death with his father, Glenn, and brother, Gary.
