Clair Ryan "Milkman" Scheitlin

Mr. Clair Ryan "Milkman" Scheitlin, 53 of West Burlington, died at 6:12 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born January 20, 1957 in Muscatine, Iowa he was the son of Kenneth Eugene and Helen Charity Nicholson Scheitlin. On September 17, 1994 he married Teresa A. Ellis in Burlington. Clair was a 1975 graduate of Burlington High School. He was a route delivery driver for Anderson Erickson Dairy of Des Moines, Iowa for over 20 years. Clair was of the protestant faith. He was a member of the Eagles Aire #150. He loved to deer hunt and his dogs. He was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved Kasey Kahne of NASCAR. He was stubborn but loveable. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Scheitlin of West Burlington; one daughter Lindsay (Bill) Muehlbauer of Blue Grass, Iowa; one grandchild due in September; his mother, Charity Scheitlin of Burlington; two sisters, Lynn (Danny) Townsend of Bloomfield and Lucinda (Russ) Larson of Davenport; and three brothers, Rolyce (Lori) Scheitlin of Remington, Indiana, Bruce Scheitlin of Burlington and Rodney (Tia) Scheitlin of Mount Pleasant. may call after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30th in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service for Clair will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1st in Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Ron Carlson will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
