LORRAINE M. SWANSON

Lorraine M. Swanson, 72, of Gwinn, passed away on Thursday evening, May 7, 2020 at Norlite Nursing Center. Lorraine was born on November 11, 1947 in Escanaba to the late Paul and Darlene (Lancour) Peterson. She was a graduate of Trenary High School. Lorraine loved working as an aide at the former Orchard Rest Home, a job she held for over 10 years. Until recently she was the manager of Birch Grove Trailer Park in Marquette where she resided for over 30 years. Lorraine was a devoted mother and grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved following the Green Bay Packers, basketball and was a huge NMU hockey fan. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Lorraine is survived by her son, John (Michelle) Swanson of Little Lake; grandchildren, Ryan Dauphinais, Taylor Dauphinais, Madeline Swanson and Mason Swanson, all of Little Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private family service will be held at a later date.
