Dan died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City. He was 70. Daniel is survived by his wife, Vicki of Algona; children, Dan (Katie) Patten of Algona and their children, Charlotte, Caroline, and Jack "Frank"; Kristi (James) Nemmers of Algona and their children, Logan, Haley, and Gavin; and Ben (Kristin) Patten of Titonka and their children, Landen, Kinnley, Paisley, and Briggs; mother, Louise Patten of Winnebago, MN; sister, Roxanne (Frank) Mennenga, brothers, Sam (Nina) Patten and Robert T. (Deb) Patten; sister-in-law, Claudine (Dale) Meckes, brother-in-law, Ernie (Gin) Salic, brother-in-law, Lawrence (Nancy) Salic, sister-in-law, Bonita (Leo) Pezzi, brother-in-law, Michael (Pat) Salic, sister-in-law, Lucinda (Ron) Winch, brother-in-law, Pete (Karen) Salic, sister-in-law, Dixie (Ken) Crissinger, brother-in-law, Bing Salic, sister-in-law, Gloria Salic, sister-in-law, Trina (Troy) McDonald, sister-in-law Lex (Bruce) Leeck, and many nieces and nephews.
