ARIZONA - Ruth Montgomery age 88, after many years of trials & tribulations, she slept into the arms of the creator Our Father God on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 8:50am at Hospice of The Valley in Surprise, AZ. She was born to the late Rev. Richard Gates & the late Lizzie Gates on July 19, 1931 in Round Pond/Whitmore, Arkansas. RUTH was a God Fearing woman, she received the Lord and baptized by her father Rev. Gates at the age of 10. The greatest thought her mind grasped was her accountability to the Almighty God. She loved the Lord and cherished each day she spent in prayer and reflections of his goodness, greatness, and grace. She was a faithful and longtime member of Galilee Baptist Church in Gary, IN until she moved to Phoenix, Arizona. RUTH was the loving wife to the late Frank G. Montgomery, loving mother of 6, loving grandmother to 16 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Ruth attended Garret Grove Elementary and Wheatly High School in Arkansas. However, the unconditional and irreplaceable love for her children and grandchildren, compassion, and unweaving commitment to help anyone in need, took top priority.
