primary and secondary education in Mississippi. She also took a few college courses at IUPUI. RUBY was employed as the manager of a cafeteria, Merrill's Industrial Catering, for many years. After leaving that employment she became an entrepreneur opening "Ruby's Quik Pick" on East 52nd Street in Indianapolis. She was also a Stanley representative, during which time she received many awards and accolades for her outstanding sales records. After having her own business for several years, she devoted her time to community involvement. On October 5, 1957, RUBY was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Edward E. Williams. RUBY was a dearly devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend. As a result of her motto "treat others as you want to be treated" she was loved and admired by many. If she could help you, she would. MRS. RUBY C. WILLIAMS departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the age of ninety-six years, eleven months, and three hundred and fifty-five days. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Emma J. Broaden, Shirley Perdue, Edward LaMont Williams, Sr., and Ruby Elaine Williams Smith; Son-in-Love, Christopher Lynn Smith and adopted son, James Campbell (Delorise); two sisters-in law, Priscilla Williams and Loyce Williams; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the New Salem Baptist Church family.
