Stephen passed away June 9, 2020 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. He was a loving husband of 54 years to his wife Marilyn, a family man and father to four children and a friend to many.
He was born in Lisnyky, Ukraine January 7, 1926, lived in many countries before moving to the United States in the years following WWII, with the majority of time residing in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Stephen was a physician for over four decades and specialized as a psychiatrist. He was a pioneer in the practice of using art therapy in the treatment of his patients.
Stephen was enlisted in the U.S. Army (SGT) serving as a medic during the Korean War and later served in the U.S. Navy (LCDR) as a psychiatrist.
Stephen is survived by his wife Marilyn, two daughters, Larissa (Doug) and Christine (Jeff), son Mark (Joan), his two grandchildren: Adam and Ella.
