April 8, 1936 - June 12, 2015 Our beloved Father and Pastor Superintendent Warren James Clewis was the 10th child born to Porter and Elmo Clewis on April 8, 1936. He received his early education between Palestine and Houston Texas. After high school he joined the U.S Navy. While stationed in San Diego, CA he met and married Odessa Green. After Pastor Clewis served his time in the Navy, he obtained undergraduate degrees while attending Linda Vista Bible College and San Diego City College. Pastor Clewis also received his Bachelor's Degree from La Verne University. In addition to being a pastor, he was also a Little League and Pop Warner Coach, a strong community leader and the founder of San Diego's TV Gospel Time. He worked for 29 years at Naval Air Station North Island in various positions. He was a person known for getting the job done. He instilled in his family, the value of hard work. ishop J.A. Blake, where he served for forty-five years. While serving as a Pastor, he was appointed Superintendent by Bishop Roy Dixon. God called his servant home to glory on June 12, 2015. He is survived by: His wife Odessa Clewis their five children, Karen, Sharon, Warren Jr., Patrick, and Margaret aka (Rainy) thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grand children, and a host of other family and friends.
