Eric Ogilvie

July 27, 1970 - July 25, 2015 Eric Ogilvie was born in San Diego, California on July 27, 1970. Eric was the third child born to Joseph and Wilma Ogilvie. Eric attended Silvergate Elementary, Dana Jr. High, and Point Loma High School. In his early years Eric was a running back for South Bay Pop Warner football. He proudly played on the playoff team in San Jose, California. Though his team did not win, Eric earned the nickname of "OJ" from his teammates, supporters, and friends. Eric remained a life-long sports fan. He could spend a day in front of the television watching any sport, but was a true fan of the San Diego Chargers and Padres. After high school Eric worked for the San Diego Zoological Society at the San Diego Zoo. Eric was an excellent artist. He enjoyed drawing and spending time with his older sister and brother. He continued to use his artistic gifts into adulthood. Eric also loved to dance. While Eric did not have children of his own, he loved children. He played with his niece and baby cousins and joyfully cared for them whenever he could. Eric had a very kind heart and made friends easily.
