Charlene Elise Darden was born October 26, 1957 to the parents of Charles, Sr. and Mary Darden in San Diego, California.
She attended Chollas and Freeze Elementary Schools, promoting on to OFarrell Junior High and then on to Morse High School completing her education.
As a young child Charlene developed a special relationship with God through the teachings of Jehovah Witness.
At the age of twenty years old, Charlene would give birth to her one and only child Marvin D. Gilliam, Junior.
As her career began, Charlene chose to be a Caregiver, caring for the elderly and disabled. She loved her seniors and developed great family relationships with each and every one of her clients.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Darden; her sister Carolyn L. Darden, and brother Derron L. Darden.
Charlene is survived by her son Marvin Gilliam, San Diego, CA; two granddaughters Cierra and Omarie Gilliam, San Diego, CA; brothers Charles Darden, Redlands, CA; Dennis Darden, Woodridge, VA; Dewayne Darden, Perris, CA; and Andre Killebrew, Los Angeles, CA.
