Blanche E. Armstrong

Blanche Emily Armstrong, age 94, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 21, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Floyd and Monzella (Brafford) Gilbert on February 24, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa. Blanche's faith was strong and a guiding force in her life. She was very involved in Bible Studies and was an ordained minister. She was a problem solver and used scripture to help and comfort those around her. Her grandchildren and her family were extremely important to her and she put them first always. Blanche had a never-ending thirst for knowledge and was a life-long student. Even after she lost her sight, she still wanted to learn and know more. She was known for her amazing memory. Blanche was proud of the fact that she was able to attend DMACC with her daughter. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Karen (Mac) McClymond, Debi Jenderseck, Rodney (Reba) Armstrong, Todd Armstrong, and Curt (Deena) Armstrong; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
