Edward Glenn Carr, 78, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, June 24th 2020, peacefully at the Taylor House with his wife Lavenia and daughter Vickie by his side.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10am to Noon on Monday, June 29th 2020. Burial at Noon at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Rd. Des Moines, Iowa.  Guests are asked to wear masks.

Edward Glenn Carr was born on April 18th 1942 in Woodward, Iowa to John T. and Helen Carr. Edward attended Johnston schools. He married the love of his life Lavenia Vie Main April 15th, 1961.

Eddie was a loving, supportive and proud father of 3 children, Vickie Wright (Mike), Jack Carr and Rhonda Carr Dudley. 7 Grandkids Katherine (Will), Michael (Carlie), Cody (Arie), Zach (Taylor), Chantelle, Joseph, Trenton. 15 Great grandkids Skylar, Mitchell, Austin, AJ, Trinitti, Mia, Brayden, Aaliyah, Aurora, Tayden, Adalynn, Mariah, Isaiah, Sofia, Belle. Lots of nieces and nephews. 3 special people in his life Corrien, Chad, and Taesean.

family man always eager to come help or give advice. He was always curious as to what was going on or the latest gossip. Those whom knew Ed knew that he didn't have much of a filter and many laughed with his comments. He was loved by all and will be truly missed as well. There will be a large void that will never be filled but the memories will last us a lifetime.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen, daughter Rhonda, sister Alice Haggen, brothers; Bob Carr, Irwin Carr, Dewey Carr.
