Van Franklin Croft

Van Franklin Croft, age 54, of Morgantown, passed away early Thursday morning, May 30, 2019 at Morgantown Health Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 26, 1965 in Morgantown, a son of Harold and Christine (Hall) Croft who survive him in Morgantown In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Garrett Croft of Morgantown; his step-son, Derek Long of Morgantown; a brother, Jeff Croft and his wife Gretchen of Morgantown; two nieces and a nephew, Lindsey Barilla and her husband Andrew of Pittsburgh, and Reid Croft and his fiance Jessica Field, and Leighton Croft all of Morgantown; and his great-nieces and nephews Brooke, Colton, Annabelle, and Zane Barilla of Pittsburgh. Van was a 1983 graduate of Morgantown High School and was the co-owner and founder of Croft Excavating. He enjoyed sports, and was a football coach for the Marilla Mustangs Pee Wee Football Team and a basketball coach as well. He enjoyed motorcycles and antique cars, and was an American History buff. Van loved working on and tinkering with machines, and mechanic work in general. He was a good artist and enjoyed drawing.
