Doug Brunson

Douglas (Doug) Brunson, age 55, died on June 28, 2020, in Des Moines, Iowa. Doug was born on August 6, 1964 in Hutchinson, KS. His family moved to Iowa in 1976. Doug graduated from Carlisle High School in 1982. He spent a short time in the Air Force after high school before returning to Iowa.

Doug was a handyman extraordinaire that could fix or build almost anything from nothing. If it was "Brunson built" it could withstand tornado and hurricane force winds. If someone needed his help, he would drop what he was doing to do what he could to help out. He leaves behind approximately 2000 (at least) pieces and parts of things that have been used for one thing or another.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Brunson. He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Brunson of Hutchinson, KS, along with sisters Terri & Steve Eisiminger of Hutchinson, KS, Diane & Paul Rhoten of Augusta, KS, and Janice Brunson & Erik Kuebler of Des Moines IA, as well as several nieces and nephews.
