Diane Hansen

Diane Cecilia (Elbert) Hansen was born July 9, 1953 at St. Ann's Kossuth County Hospital. Daughter of Melvin and Irene (Berger) Elbert. Diane graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1971. After high school she went to work at Snap On, where she worked for 39 years. On June 21, 1974, Diane was united in marriage to Roger Hansen at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Together they raised their three children in Whittemore. Diane enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, especially football and basketball, golfing, going for walks, gardening, and growing flowers. She also enjoyed going to the casino, bowling, and playing 500. She especially enjoyed spending time her grandkids and boating with her family. Diane was a member of the Local 1045 union at Snap On, Whittemore Women's Club, St. Michael's Church Choir and Rosary Society. She enjoyed volunteering at the Kossuth Regional Health Center. Diane was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by her family and friends. Diane died Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Good Samaritan Society of Algona. She was 66.
