chool in Wayland, IA, for three years. On January 26, 1949, she married Elmer H. Wagler in Keota. She then began her career as mother and homemaker on the Wagler farm, south of Trenton, IA. Jean was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church. She enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family. Jean spent her spare time listening to sports on the radio and watching them on television. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and never missed watching the Kentucky Derby. She was seldom seen without one or more pet cats. Those left to honor Jean's memory include a daughter, Sandi W. (Mark) Davis of Davenport, IA; a son, Kevin Scott Wagler of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and three grandsons, Ethan Davis of North Liberty, IA, Collin Davis of Coralville, IA, and Logan Davis of Davenport, IA. She will also be missed by many extended family and friends. Mrs. Wagler was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Elmer, who died in 1987.
