easant in 1993, he returned to work at Heatilator, and he retired in 1998 due to a disability. While living in Wyoming, Ron was involved in scouts as a den leader for Cub Scouts and Webelos, and an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts. He was active in the Mt. Pleasant Jaycees during the 1970's. An active member of First Baptist Church, Ron was a deacon, taught Sunday school, and was a Pioneer Club teacher. Favorite hobbies included writing poems, drafting, drawing and fishing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Cindy (Dean Eddington) Clancy of Carman, IL and Kayleigh Septer of Mt. Pleasant; a son, David (Brenda) Septer of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Liam Clancy and Abbie Septer; and three sisters, Earnestine Harvey and Retha Sammons both of Salem, and Janice (Jim) Miller of Fulton, MO. Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Earnest Septer; and a sister Ruth Septer in infancy.
