He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ. He was a member of many professional societies, including American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Nuclear Society and served on several advisory boards such as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. His extensive achievements included multiple patents, listings in 22 Who's Who publications, numerous awards from ASME, and the publications of over 80 technical papers. Soung Moo Cho was married to his late wife Ki Sun Kim for 34 years. He is survived by his brother Soung Moon Cho, 3 sisters, Choh Soon Cho, Soung Ja Cho, Soung Hwa Cho, his six children Rose (Bill) Usry, Richard (Agnes) Cho, Karen (Mark) Goodman, Grace (Chris) Pretorius, Christopher Cho, Andrew (Michelle) Cho, and 13 grandchildren, Sara (Moses) Pierson, Zachary Usry, Blake Usry, Paige Usry, Vivian Cho, Alicia Cho, Hannah Goodman, Emily Goodman, Danielle Goodman, Claire Goodman, Daniel Pretorius, Braydon Cho, and Kaythan Cho. He was preceded in death by his parents, Song Nyoung Cho and Mi Ok Lee. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.
