Anyone who knew Henry knew not to bother him when any court shows or political debates were televised. If you ever needed a friend, someone to laugh and talk with, someone to clown around with, someone to wash your car, or just sit and watch the cars drive by, Henry was the one to come to. Henry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-seven years, Ernestine Laverne Carter Grant, of the home; five children, Russell (Melanie) Grant of Charlotte, NC, Telesia DuBose of Lewisville NC, Sherri (Rick) Jefferies of Mocksville NC, Meshelle Keys of Millersville, MD, and Johna (Noah) Wiseman of Mocksville NC; four grandchildren, Jessica Grant, Bianca Grant, Jasmine Grant and Johnathan Wiseman; one great-grandchild, Aubrey Grant; one brother-in-law, Richard (Faye) Carter, two sisters-in-law, Anne Grant and Lillian Neely; Lee Cain, a "son" he helped raise; adopted daughter, Sandra Chapman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
