Also surviving are his three siblings, Michael Keith Workman (Christene) of Tulsa, OK, Cheryl Workman Scalora (Michael) of Nacogdoches, TX and Christopher Reid Workman (Ruby) of York, PA. and his nieces and nephews: Nicole Scalora Tarpley, Rachel Workman, Elizabeth Workman Bodigan and Philip Workman. Ted graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA, and received his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. While in Texas he served six years in the Army National Guard. He worked in management as a professional engineer in the US and the UK, then went to Suffolk University in Boston and earned his Juris Doctor in 1997. In 1997 he opened his Law Practice in Taunton, MA, specializing in intellectual property law and criminal defense. He has testified as an expert witness in computer forensics and the validity of breathalyzer evidence in the US and Canada. He was a member of the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In 2006 and 2007 he received the Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Stars Award and was named an Up and Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. He was named 2017 Lawyer of the Year by Lawyers Weekly and in 2018 The National College for DUI Defense honored him with a Trial Advocacy Award in recognition of his tireless and outstanding Trial Advocacy for the Defense. Ted was an adjunct Professor Law at The University of Massachusetts School of Law and had numerous publications and speaking engagements. He enjoyed tinkering and renovation of his Victorian home, raising tomatoes, singing in choirs and acting in community theater.
