Arlie "Pete" C. Brown

Upland: Arlie C. "Pete" Brown, 75, died Friday evening, January 17, 2014, in Morrison Woods Health Campus, Muncie. He was born in Marion to the late Rev. Leonard M. and Nellie M. (McGriff) Brown. He married Deanna Denigan on November 13, 1957. She survives. Mr. Brown was employed as a Millwright at General Motors, Marion, for 23 years and Greenline Manufacturing, Marion, for 19 years, before his retirement in 2006. Pete was a "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoyed mechanics, woodworking, fishing, and hunting. In addition to his wife of 56 years, survivors include a son, Michael (Judy) Brown, Ocala, FL; three daughters, Maria (David) Evers, Rochester, Teresa (Dale) Crowder, Muncie, and Georgia Brown, McKinney, TX; three brothers, Ron (Doris) Brown, Marion, Don (Linda) Brown, Marion, and Jack (Bonnie) Brown, Trenton, NC; four sisters, Marvel King, Gas City, Carolyn (Bob) Messersmith, Marion, Mary (Mike) Ancil, Marion, and Edith (Floyd) Ancil, Marion; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
