William Halstead Jessup, 53 of Fairmount, Indiana died unexpectedly early Saturday morning January 10, 2015 at home on the family farm. Bill was a lifelong farmer and Grant County Resident. Born December 26, 1961 in Marion, Indiana he was they only son of Roger and Geraldine (Mitchener) Jessup. Bill was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School class of 1980 and attended Vincennes University in 1981. He was involved in the community through driving a school bus for Madison-Grant School Corporation 27 years. It was apparent from an early age Bill would follow the family tradition of farming and showing 4-H livestock. He enjoyed working along side of his father and more recently his son and daughter. The joy of his life was spending time with family, neighbors, and friends. Bill was member of Grant County Farm Bureau, Grant County 4-H Fair Board, Grant County 4-H Council and the Fairmount Friends Church. A celebration of life for Bill will be at 11:00 AM Thursday January 15, 2015 at the Fairmount Friends Church Mill and First Streets, Fairmount, In with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday,January 14, 2015 at the church.
