Mr. Frank Nelson

Frank Parker Nelson age 81, of Flintstone, Georgia passed away peacefully Sunday - August 2, 2020. He was born in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee to the late Floyd Parker and Athene Smith Nelson. He has resided in the Chattanooga Valley area for the past fifty-five years. He was lifelong roofer, Jack of all Trades, enjoyed wheeling and dealing, and loved running his tomato and watermelon stand so he could socialize with his friends. He loved dealing in farm tractors and especially John Deere's. He was of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years: Nellie May Bradford Nelson, their son: Frank Parker Nelson, Jr., sisters: Mary Scott, Sue Chidester Speriesen and brother: Jerry Nelson. Raymond Nelson of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, special friends and caregivers: Robert (Wanda) Griffitts, Sr., and Sheila Cagle all of Flintstone, GA, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and after 10:00 am Thursday morning at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am - Thursday - August 6, 2020 in the chapel with Brother Walter Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in Gilliam Cemetery - South Pittsburgh, TN.
